...and we've been working like dogs!
Yes it has been quite silent here in the last month, but we haven't forgotten you. First of all, we were very busy replying to both forums and emails, helping people and leagues to get the best possible experience from our mod. The success of the mod has really exceeded all of our expectations and after 2 months we can give you some numbers.
- SimHQ has awarded our mod as best sim mod or add on of the year 2008! Thank you SimHQ for this fantastic award.
- Downloads are way north of 15000 units! This is an amazing number and sincerely, we stopped counting after that number was reached. It might be even more.
- No critical bugs and/or showstoppers have been reported. This is another big satisfaction for us. It shows that all the hard work and time we invested on "quality control" paid dividends.
- Several high profile leagues have adopted P&G2.0 for their races. We intend to bring you a detailed list of all of them.
- Finally, the most important aspect by far! The community response was simply outstanding. Thanks to each and every one of you, for the touching comments about our mod. There are really no words to describe how the team feels after the release.
And now?
Well we think you will be glad to know that we weren't sleeping like a log.  In the following couple of weeks we are going to have some nice gifts for almost everybody.
- Some nice new addon cars that do not make part of the official P&G mod, but that will certainly make 3rd party modders rejoy. The cars are pretty famous variations of some of the original P&G cars and arrive with proper dedicated physics as you might expect from anything released from the GTLWorkshop team.
- The patch is coming. Good things come to those who wait and the wait is almost over. While the mod didn't have any critical bugs, the great community understood the passion behind this mod and with eagle eye precision, pointed out several small gfx bugs here and there. Things like misplaced wheel nuts, a couple of shadows here and there, some ill placed screws, all things that other people wouldn't even look at, our fans spotted and let us know. We fixed every single one of them and we also bring you gifts to thank you! Top 8 LeMans grid anyone?
- In the following days we will also announce a couple of new members that joined the team and are already working hard on various projects, showing exceptional talent.
- We even have news for the forum addicts, stay tuned and you might get a new dedicated place for your favorite mod.
- Oh, and yes, the specific car articles are about to begin... ready to burn some virtual rubber and re-discover cars from a whole new perspective?
