Or rather, we have never been away really, quietly beavering away over the next stage of Power & Glory. We'd rather not announce any release dates yet, but we are working as hard as ever, and with an enlarged team, to complete our task.
We have taken on board a number of new people to help with modelling, research, painting and more, as well as to generally spread the workload over a greater number of shoulders. We are a truly global team now on which the sun never sets, stretched around the globe literally from Austria to Australia, and working around the clock to bring this project to a conclusion. In the coming weeks, we will update our team pages with a little more information on all the people who are now involved with this mod.
And that’s what we are planning to do:
- complete the initial project of creating a mod representing the cars that come with GTL as they raced in period - this means adding the 1970s cars
- as you know from versions 1 and 2, we will try to provide a big choice between many variants of the basic car models, with their own physics and period liveries
- we will fine-tune the physics of the cars that already came with v2.0 and v2.1 - we have made some exciting advances here, moving still closer to what we want to achieve in reproducing the handling of these cars as they raced in period. We love our P&Gv2.0 physics ... but there are still some things we are not happy with, and we know neither are you. So we decided that 2.1 just was not enough. We need to make the cars better, and that's what we will do. When we're done, you'll finally be able to attack those dreadful curbs in full four-wheel drift!
- we will of course clean up some minor bugs with the v2.0 and v2.1 cars
- and, finally, there are some secret projects coming along nicely which, of course, I am not telling you anything about except that some cars on 2.1 are feeling lonely and, these being such important cars, we think they should have some worthy opponents to race against. That's right, v3.0 will be all about "duels" ... massive duels.
From now on, we will make a greater effort keeping you up to date with how things are moving along. So be sure to check back more regularly for news and updates and, who knows, maybe a preview or some small goodies for you to enjoy.
Stay tuned!
