GTLWorkshop

For the people in our development team, beta-testing, editing and research often leave hardly any time at all for actually driving. Some claim even to prefer tinkering to driving, and to drive exclusively off-line, even when online ;) Others are active in leagues though, such as the Italian-based ROTW Championship:

RacingOnTheWeb website

If you are wondering where to make the most of your racing skills, check out the list of leagues on our official forum, where you can also find contact info of the league admins for any other questions or doubts you might have:

Official GTLWorkshop forums, "anyone needs a racer" section

On the other hand, if you're more into casual "pickup" racing, then we strongly recommend to try out the always online, always stable Gamers' Crib servers. Good racers, nice selection of cars, helpful administrator. Check them here:

Gamers' Crib server thread
Or, if you need more information, send a PM to the servers admin Mogget

Most of all, though, please let us know when and where you drive P&G! Are you in a league which isn't yet on our list, do you look for open servers, are you strictly racing offline? Hit the "comments" button and tell us about your experiences - as we are preparing for v3, we'd like to collect some information on where racers can meet and do what they want to do most - race!

Speaking of v3, work is progressing on many fronts simultaneously. That means that many more cars are much closer to completion than they were when we last updated this blog, but that none are completed. We will nevertheless show you some shots of Capris battling it out on an obscure Antipodean circuit, just in case you were getting the impression v3 would have nothing but Porsches.

First of all: thanks a lot for new screenshots!

Then for the original question.. I've thus far only driven P&G offline, unfortunately. Joined about 2 online public sessions but there are either no drivers or then all are racing the fastest car available on the server.

So I gave it a try on a private server featuring league racing and was unable to join. I'm now looking forward to v3 and hope that with a fresh install I'll get rid of this issue and I might finally be able to join a league *hope*

Keep up the great work, guys. Can't wait

I drive and work as a judge in Finnish league Ari's SimWorld (ASW), which drove eight race season with PnG2. ASW is originally GTL league, so we have probably already driven at least one season with all of the car models in PnG3, so i'm not sure if we will drive another season with it. We might if it will give us something new and interesting.

Ford Capri certainly is not something that feels new and exiting. If you are Finnish simracer it is possible, that you have already driven four seasons with Capris from GTL and HistorX

Anyway, I think that PnG2 was and is one of the best mods to any game ever. I'm very much looking forward to PnG3 release.

I must confess that I too have been an exclusively offline racer up to now. Maybe V3 will change all that...

Loving the Capris too, thanks for not forgetting about the non-Porschephiles!

I haven't played PnG online, for the simple fact my internet connection is very poor, I run a USB stick with limited traffic and what not(that is because I'm always on the move)
But, i'd like to show my enthusiasm for version 3 of this sim/mod, it is undoubtedly the best out from this modding scene.
Impatiently Waiting

First of all, Congratulations for P&G, it's the best Racing Sim Ever! So much feeling and quality handling, like the real stuff...
We use to create a private session and race online with 4-5 friends every Sunday evening. So much Fun and tight races!
Can't wait for V3...
Keep it up!

Exclusively offline. Love the authenticity PnG brings to GTL/GTR2 (many many thanks GTLW!!!). I try to replicate races from specific early 60s seasons in both BTCC/ETCC and more recently World Sportscar Championship using relevant/available add-on tracks. Love that each PnG release increases the available field (for both 'touring' and sportscars) and the community responds in kind with additional (preferably authentic) skins and tracks (eg Bridgehampton and Mosport 67).
Best wishes.

I join the fun guys at The Aussie racing League, it's is terrific. They aren't all Aussies either, thank God!
Season 4 just finished, and the format of season 5 is being debated now. The serious leauge racing is once a fortnight, and it is serious (I watch from near the back usually) but on the weekends we have fun meets where we go wheel-to-wheel until someone screws up and then everyone waits for them to rejoin. They are a gerat bunch, I couldn't recommend it enough.
